Music School is a film that delves into the immense pressure applied by both schools and parents on children, compelling them to dedicate countless hours solely to academic studies. This relentless pursuit aims to mold them into future doctors and engineers, often disregarding the importance of art and leisure activities, consequently leaving little to no room for these pursuits in the lives of students.
Short Review
Paparao Biyyala‘s Music School aimed to portray the pressures faced by students from various sources, emphasizing the importance of allowing children to pursue their own interests. However, the film fell into a routine pattern, diverting attention to unnecessary romantic scenes, disappointing viewers. The frequent and artificial insertion of songs, along with the lack of focus on music teaching, detracted from the movie’s essence. The editing by Manan Sagar dragged the film and caused frustration for viewers. While Kiran Deohans’ cinematography added value with attractive visuals, the music and classic songs lacked emotional connection, failing to resonate with the audience. Ilaiyaraaja’s background score was average, the dialogues were ordinary, and the production values of Yamini Movies were commendable.
