Story Plot
Theera Kaadhal revolves around Gautham (Jai), a contented family man with a loving wife and adorable daughter. While on a project in Mangalore, he unexpectedly encounters his ex-lover Aranya (Aishwarya Rajesh), trapped in an abusive relationship with her husband Prakash (Amzath). Gautham offers her support and attempts to help her escape the darkness. However, the situation takes a turn for the worse when Aranya becomes obsessed with Gautham and stalks him, disrupting his newfound happiness with Vandana (Shivada). This intensifies the challenges faced by Gautham, who has moved on from his past with Aranya and embarked on a beautiful new life.
Short Review
Director Rohin and writer GR Surendranath skillfully delve into human emotions in Theera Kaadhal, offering insight into the lives of the three main characters. The depth achieved in the film effectively distinguishes the characters and their perspectives. Jai portrays a helpless man caught between two women, while Shivada’s character is portrayed with clarity and Aishwarya Rajesh’s character seems irritating on the surface but when we go deeper it evokes sympathy due to her circumstances. The film succeeds due to its well-developed characters and features some fun moments in the second half. Siddhu Kumar’s music and the technical aspects, including cinematography by Ravi Varma Elangovan and editing by GK Prasanna are commendable. Overall, Theera Kaadhal is a worth watch feel good family entertainer.
